It's Record Store Day!

Record Store Day is (nearly) here!

The day to celebrate independent record shops and our love of music

The rare 400+ RSD26 releases have been requested, delivered, unboxed, priced, alphabetized, the days are crossed off on the calendar, it's time for Record Store Day - this Saturday 18th April

We are really looking forward to welcoming you. Please note these items are extremely limited nationally and globally and are being allocated to all the participating record shops up and down the country. Whilst we always ask for lots of copies of RSD items sometimes we are only allocated 2 or 3 copies. To avoid disappointment we recommend arriving early and having a wide wish list - there are loads of fantastic releases to choose from.

We've got a great day planned for you. Shop doors open at 8.00am

Limited edition RSD26 merch from Record Store Day/Jack Daniels/Metropolis Studios for the first few in the queue!

While there is a queue outside the shop customers will be invited into the shop one at a time. We find that this is the fairest and quickest way for everyone to be served.

Customers are able to buy one copy of each RSD item.

On arrival please know which RSD items you'd like to purchase.

Once the queue has gone (in past years it's been around 11am - we will announce this on social media) the shop will then be open for browsing as per usual until 5.30pm.

There will be live music during the day

Experimental Sonic Machines from 10.30am

Red Giant - Dave Simpson's blues rock band at 3pm

BeatLine - Debut performance from Louth community percussion street band performing some rhythms from South America from 4pm

Weather permitting, for the first time this year, we will also have a Pop Up 2nd hand vinyl shop and

Expressive Audio HiFi specialists will have their pop up shop for equipment demos and competition giveaways

We will re-open the shop on Sunday 19th April 11am to 3pm and on Monday 20th 10am to 3pm.

All remaining stock will be available to buy here ONLINE from 8pm UK Time on Monday  20th April 2026

And in other news..

One of the albums of the last year is finally back in stock

Cameron Winter's  Heavy Metal, 'his debut solo album following his work with the band Geese. This album takes a surprising departure from Geese's typical indie twang sound, opting for a more delicate approach that showcases Winter's mystical and imaginative lyrical style.'

Roswell Road (Jasmine Watkiss and Zoë Wren) are a London based Americana duo currently on tour promoting their debut album Rebel Joy - out now.

They are playing live on the evening of Saturday 25th April at Louth Social Club with support from Pete Conner, Caroline Cakebread and Henry Atherton - tickets available in store...

...and at 2.30pm that day they will by swinging by Off The Beaten Tracks to play a Shop Window Live for us in store, so do come along for some great live music whilst you browse.

'Wednesday 29th of April, to get you in the mood before the weekend's Beltane shenanigans... an evening of bedtime stories for those who welcome nightmares, the first in (hopefully) a series of nights of the eerie and uncanny, of folk tales and urban myths, of ghost stories and old wives tales, and Bloody Marias at the bar...
With Kate Cherrell and John W Ashbrook, Sherri Young and Iain Gouge reading from their own twisted works...
Arrive early doors to get your drinks in, stories start at 7... In the snug, Boars Head, Newmarket, Louth.'

We might also see Jayne getting ready for take off in Viewing Chair, depending on the level of chaos...
