Hello from Off The Beaten Tracks...in the week that is has been reported that CDs are 'back in fashion' (it's happy news of course but they have never been out of fashion for us or so many of you!) we have some really interesting new releases for you in store on CD and vinyl, as well as lots of great new and 2nd hand LPs, 7" singles, cassettes and CDs for you to browse as always...
New Releases for 06/11/26 in store include...

'A haunting, cinematic journey into a village that exists beyond time and place, Requiem For A Village is Steven Wilson’s most intimate and imaginative work yet.
Blending dark folk, rock and electronica, the album unfolds as a continuous 54-minute “film for the ears,” populated by strange archetypes and eerie folklore.
The album is narrated by David Tennant and written with Andy Partridge (XTC).'

Sufjan Stevens' albums are an established part of our festivities at Off The Beaten Tracks. Now comes...
'Worst Christmas Ever! which is the perfect introduction for new listeners and an essential addition for long-time Sufjan Christmas devotees.
Worst Christmas Ever! is a single-LP collection that distills Sufjan Stevens’ expansive holiday catalogue— drawn from the box sets Songs for Christmas and Silver and Gold—into one definitive collection. The album pairs fifteen favourites, selected from more than one hundred Christmas recordings, with the newly released original song "On This Christmas (It Only Gets Better)," Sufjan's first new Christmas song in nearly fifteen years.'
Available now on red vinyl, as a CD or red cassette

Rora and the Untamed is a collaboration between The Last Dinner Party’s Aurora Nishevci and composer Nathen Durasamy who release their debut LP Do You Like Me Now via Island Records this week.
'Ultimately this record is about our relationship to being artists.” Aurora and Nathen say of their debut album. “There’s this inner conflict of simultaneously wanting to be seen and not seen, wanting to be in the shadows and wanting to have the spotlight. It is about questioning ourselves as artists, our motivations, our affect and our relationships to people and to our careers.” Still Listening

Spice Girls The Singles Collection is a handbag shaped box set of 7" singles
'For the first time ever, all of the Spice Girls’ singles are brought together in one complete collection. From Wannabe to Holler, Spice Up Your Life to Goodbye; The Singles Collection brings together the singles, original artwork, B-sides and previously unreleased recordings from the Spice Girls archive.'
A CD boxset version is also available

George Michael's ‘The Faith Tour’, the hotly anticipated 16-track live album of previously unreleased recordings, captures George Michael at the height of his powers during the iconic 1988 Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy stop on his first solo concert tour. Featuring incredible live performances of hits from Faith including ‘Father Figure’, ‘One More Try’, ‘I Want Your Sex and ‘Careless Whisper’ alongside WHAM! classics ‘Everything She Wants’ and ‘I’m Your Man’, the album is both a precious time capsule from a defining era of pop and a celebration of George’s extraordinary vocal talent, artistry and influence.'
Out this Friday 6th November.

IT’S NICE UP NORTH 20th Anniversary Screening at Louth's Riverhead Theatre on
'RBM presents.. A 20th-anniversary screening tour of Graham Fellows’ much loved comedy documentary It’s Nice Up North starring his alter ego John Shuttleworth. The tour is also being presented as a tribute to the late Martin Parr, the celebrated photographer who shot the movie, and whose distinctive eye is central to the movie’s charm and enduring appeal.
It’s Nice Up North follows the legendary comic character John Shuttleworth - on a gently absurd journey through the Shetland Islands to test the theory that the further north you go, the nicer people become. Foiled by failing light, let down by a flat car battery, and buffeted by the constant wind, John doggedly pursues his quest; asking everyone he meets the all important question; ‘Is it nice up North?’
Co-starring Shetland tour guide, Elma Johnson, as herself, and featuring the magical and inspiring music of Shetland’s folk ensemble Fiddlers Bid'
Graham Fellows will be in attendance for a post-screening Q&A, and to discuss his on and off screen relationship with Martin Parr and how the photographer chose to adapt his legendary techniques to a film camera and crew on a remote Scottish island.
“A hilarious spoof travelogue" (Metro)
