MORE Oasis this week with their classic 4th album Standing on the Shoulder of Giants has had a Limited reissue on New Silver LP.

A pivotal moment in Oasis’ storied history, Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants marked the start of a new era for the band. ‘Go Let It Out’ was the first release on Noel and Liam Gallagher’s own label Big Brother Recordings Ltd, established in January 2000 following the sudden closure of Oasis’ former UK label Creation Records. Big Brother’s debut release was rushed into production and released on 7th February 2000, only seven weeks after the label’s inception.

Kneecap is a 2024 film depicting the rise of Kneecap an Irish hip hop trio from Belfast, Northern Ireland. The film stars the band members as themselves, with Josie Walker, Fionnuala Flaherty and Michael Fassbender in supporting roles.

Orange LP. Out 28/02/2025

Several reissues of music by the fabulous 90s Anglo/French experimental pop band Stereolab are out on vinyl this week, including the wonderfully named Emperor Tomato Ketchup, Mars Audiac Quintet, Cobra and Phases Group Play Voltage in the Milky Night, and more!

Hull's Bdrmm are back with self described 'best yet' album, Microtonic.

'“The last album was essentially like a bridge between the two albums,” the band say of 2023’s I Don’t Know. “With that one we knew what we were trying to do but with this one we've fully cracked it.”  Bdrmm’s trademark sound hasn’t disappeared by any means, the band's more guitar-heavy beginnings a blueprint and influence on many of the groups breaking through in the here and now, a time when shoegaze is enjoying its strongest revival since its inception in the 80s, but those guitars are now incorporated into a broader, more expansive and varied sonic palette. Microtonic, recorded with long-term band collaborator Alex Greaves, features guest appearances from Working Men's Club and Olivesque of Nightbus.'

Blue/White vinyl versions and Cd version available from 28/02/2025

'Ride guitarist and songwriter Andy Bell’s third solo album Pinball Wanderer is an otherworldly collection of intergalactic wizardry that mixes psychedelic melodies, Can-via-The Stone Roses grooves and Arthur Russell-style experimental textures. With guest appearances from Dot Allison and Neu! legend Michael Rother on a cover of The Passions’ peerless post-punk classic ‘I’m In Love With A German Film Star’, it is perfect for both deep-listening headphones moments and cutting across the coolest, most understated dancefloors.'

Pink vinyl version with a signed print out 28/02/2025

'On Sinister Grift, American singer songwriter Panda Bear’s first solo album in five years, Noah Lennox has returned with another statement that feels equally cumulative and unprecedented in his catalogue. While his solo records have ranged from starkly intimate expressions of grief to colourful, electronic opuses, his music has never before sounded so warm and immediate. '

Blue vinyl version out 28/02

Honouring the 50th year of one of the greatest and most influential hard rock bands of all time, Motorhead's classic albums Overkill and Bomber now available on coloured vinyl, with the half speed masters created from the original tapes. They also come with a poster.

'With concerts finally released in full and correctly sequenced for the very first time – Live In The USA 1978, Atlanta takes us back to the moment the creative force that was Sex Pistols'

Red vinyl available from 28th Feb

Morning Star Music Club is headed by musician and songwriter Jesse D. Vernon. 'The band's list of influences includes such diverse artists as the Southland Missionary Singers, Leonard Cohen, Radiohead, VU, and Beyoncé. The tunes sparkle with stunning vocal harmonies, funky basslines, elegant arrangements and Jesse's inimitable guitar work. Performances often feature spontaneous cameos and audience participation.'
