Friday 7th March marks the 21st birthday of Off The Beaten Tracks!
We are so chuffed that our little record shop, which began life as a stall on Louth market, has reached this milestone. We'd like to say a BIG thank you to all our customers both in store, online and via our Discogs shop, for the great support over the years - for following us from our first shop at 29 Aswell Street, to 36 Aswell Street and then to our current premises at 8 Aswell Street.
There have been a lot of changes in music distribution since we opened in 2004, which was just as iTunes was taking off (and in the days when Louth still had a half day closing on a Thursday!). We've experienced the vinyl revival, the launch of Record Store Day and the strange online only lockdown days - here's to a good few years more!
As a thank you there will be 10% off everything* in store only on this Sat 8th March
*offer excludes 2025 releases and customer orders

Here's a Taster of the New Releases in Store This Week...
Noah Kahan is a Vermont born singer songwriter, 'his unique blend of folk and pop music has earned him a dedicated fan base and critical acclaim'. He releases a double album Live At Fenway Park on red and blue vinyl on Friday 7th March
Wigan indie rock band The Lathums,'sees the opening credits roll on the four-piece’s third, thrilling season Matter Does Not Define...Proving prolific with a 12-song track listing, Matter Does Not Define not only follows the band’s chart-topping second album, but their classic indie debut, 2021’s How Beautiful Life Can Be.'
'Alt rock legend Bob Mould returns with his new album. The legendary former frontman of Husker Du and Sugar delivers 11 slices of anthemic, emotional driving alt rock. Featuring singles “Here We Go Crazy”, “When Your Heart Is Broken” and “Breathing Room” the album finds Bob on top form.'
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have reissued their 2016 releases Flying Microtonal Banana and Nonagon Infinity.
Reissued on vinyl
'At the heart of Tuesday Night Music Club, Sheryl Crow’s impressive debut, is collaboration – the title comes from the shorthand used to describe the group of musicians who came together on Tuesdays to work on the project. Not released on vinyl in 1993, the album was remastered in 2023 and released as a 1LP.'
'Spiritbox’s sophomore album, Tsunami Sea, builds on the band’s massively successful 2021 debut album Eternal Blue which topped charts and dominated critic’s year-end lists, and 2023’s Fear of Fear EP which earned the band two consecutive Grammy nominations. The album, co-produced by Spiritbox’s Mike Stringer and Dan Braunstein, features the band’s signature visceral sound, elevated to new heights of intensity and musicality highlighted in singles “Soft Spine” and “Perfect Soul”.'
Newcastle rock band 'The Wildhearts return in 2025 with a brand new album. Titled Satanic Rites of the Wildhearts produced / mixed by Jim Pinder and Carl Bown (Sleep Token / Bullet For My Valentine / While She Sleeps) the record is conceived as a belated follow-up to the classic debut, Earth vs The Wildhearts. These are songs of defiance and hope, of ragged glory, of true heart-on-sleeve emotion; songs that sound like no-one else on this planet (or the explored parts of space) – all of which holds true for the new album, the band’s first for Snakefarm.'
Vinyl and CD out 7th March
Sasami Blood On The Silver Screen
'Two Sasamis exist in harmony. First is Sasami Ashworth, the conservatory-trained classical French horn player, producer, and composer—an artist with a studious approach to craft. And then there is all-caps Ssasami, the fearless performer and protagonist of her three increasingly audacious albums. For Blood On the Silver Screen, these two sides fused for her most epic and realized music to date: the all-out Sasami pop record.'
Red vinyl out Friday 7th March
