Gracie Abrams, Hot Chip, Yard Act, DJ Shadow, Stone Roses, great new Jazz reissues on vinyl

Gracie Abrams highly anticipated third studio album, Daughter from Hell is out this Friday 17th July.

'Abrams, the daughter of filmmaker J.J. Abrams and Hollywood producer Katie McGrath, released her debut, Good Riddance in 2023 — the same year she opened for Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour and received a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist...Abrams has been dismissed as a “nepo baby,” a tag she has talked about with grace and self-awareness...Daughter From Hell is her best album yet, 16 tracks that sparkle with angst, beauty, and all the baggage that comes with adulthood.' London synth pop band Hot Chip are releasing the reissues of The Warning, Made In The Dark and One Life Stand on Friday 17th July for the first time via Domino records. All three albums are available on double gatefold vinyl, including Made In The Dark for the first time ever, while the vinyl release of The Warning will feature the colour artwork for the first time as a new edition.

'Sally Cinnamon is acknowledged as the first release in the style which would come to be recognized as the Stone Roses' trademark sound. This EP includes 12" single mix, all the B Sides and additional live tracks. This is the first time this new configuration has ever been released. Half-speed mastered to the highest possible quality and DMM – Direct Metal Mastered with protective polypropylene inner bag making this the ultimate collector's edition.'

To mark the 45th anniversary of its release in June 1981, Secretly Canadian has announced that Yoko Ono's seminal album  Season of Glass will be released on 17th July 2026, in expanded CD and digital versions, and on vinyl for the first time in more than forty-five years, with expanded and enhanced artwork. Hit single “Walking on Thin Ice” is now available to stream everywhere for the first time.

One of Pitchfork’s Top 200 albums of the 1980s, Season of Glass was released just seven months after the senseless murder of Ono’s husband and creative partner, John Lennon. Full of songs about love, loss, anger and fear, the album reflected Ono’s experience in stark detail, creating almost a companion piece to Ono and Lennon’s 1970 Plastic Ono Band “primal scream” albums. “Season of Glass was really just being me, I suppose,” Ono told Newsweek in 1982.

“Sort of, it was like a primal scream in a way; you know, something happened in my life, and I just had to say it. And I think it was therapeutic for me more than anything else. And I was pretty honest, I suppose.”
