Celebrating 20 Years of Off The Beaten Tracks!
Posted by Mark Merrifield on
It was twenty years ago today...
Our record shop turns 20 years old this week!
After testing the water on Louth market in the autumn of 2003 with just one box of stock, we first opened our doors at 28 Aswell Street back in March 2004 before moving to no. 36 in 2009 and then to our current premises here at no. 8 Aswell St. in 2022.
Join us in celebrating on Saturday 9th March from 10am to 5.30pm.
We have a special edition anniversary tote bag to mark the shop's birthday.
To celebrate 20 years of the shop we'll be doing a SPECIAL OFFER ALL DAY SATURDAY 9 MARCH 2024 10am to 5.30pm.
***10% OFF EVERYTHING IN THE SHOP!!!***
New, 2nd Hand, Vinyls, CDs, DVDs the lot! Offer is for IN STORE customers and stock only ie. not website (sorry!).
***New releases from this year 2024, customer orders & already reduced/sale stock are not included!***
There is PILES of good stuff in the shop at the moment to get stuck into!!!
We'll be having live music on the day too from some of our favourite Louth Musicians who have performed for us over the years.
Fantastic folk duo The Coggle Sisters will be performing at 2.30pm Saturday. Featuring Fiddle, Cello, Bodhran and Vocals we've loved their fresh take on folk as brilliantly displayed on their fantastic debut album Relics.
Jazz Lingard is one of our favourite singer songwriters to come from the Louth area. Her set which she performed for us in our old shop back on Record Store Day in 2019 (where the pic is taken from above, thanks Chris Smith!) was just brilliant! So happy she's agreed to return to play for us once again. Jasmine will be playing at 4.30pm on Saturday.
Big thanks to all those of you who have come from near and far to shop in store, placed an order online, queued up to spend Record Store Days with us, played live music for us, sold your collection to us, designed cards, posters, prints and bags for us, reviewed us with a thumbs up and spread the word about us over the years.
Thank you for your custom, your stories your interest and most of all your friendship!
We wouldn't be here without you.
