Customer Favourite Top Albums of 2020

This week we hear from:

Steve (Regular from Louth)

Top 5 Albums in no order...

1. Fiona Apple Fetch the Bolt Cutters - the sound of an artist liberating themselves from having to sound like anything else.

2. Nubya Garcia
Source - the soul of 21st century London;  jazz, Jamaica, Colombia and Afro beat, all melded into one beautifully played, arranged package of truly uplifting music.

3. Keeley Forsyth
Debris - sparse, haunted, beautiful, fans of Mark Hollis, later Scott or Nico will love this.

4. Wilma Archer
A Western Circular - genre bending, immersive, a string quartet back MF Doom’s rap, Samuel T Herring, what’s not to love?

5. Fontaine’s DC
 A Hero's Death - guitars aren’t dead yet!

2020 Reissues:

Roedelius
Tape Archive Essence 1973 to 1978 - apparently the leaving and remains from the studio, but actually sound like a cohesive ambient masterpiece.

Kraftwerk
Computerwelt (vinyl) - German language reissue, stonking sound quality, some of their best melodies, powerful stuff.

Rick's Top 3 (Regular from Louth)

1. Tricky Fall To Pieces

2. Fat Freddy's Drop -  Volume 1

3. Sufjan Stevens The Ascension
