New in this week...

U2 have a new release this week, Songs of Surrender 'features 16 new acoustic and re-imagined recordings from the U2 catalogue, produced and compiled by The Edge. Including ‘One’, ‘I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For’, and ‘Pride (In The Name Of Love)’. U2 have sold over 175 million albums, won 22 Grammy awards, and released 14 studio albums.

The Edge said of the project: “Music allows you to time travel, and we became curious to find out what it would be like to bring our early songs back with us to the present day and give them the benefit, or otherwise, of a 21st century reimagining." The special 4LP collector’s edition includes: ‘With Or Without You’, ‘Beautiful Day’, ‘Where The Streets Have No Name’, ‘One’, ‘I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For’, ‘Pride (In The Name Of Love)’, alongside fan favourites such as ‘Stories For Boys’, ‘Bad’, and ‘Desire’.'

We have various CD and vinyl formats available in store and online.

American electronic duo Dylan Brady and Laura Les aka 100 gecs release their highly anticipated second album 10,000 gecs this week.

'...an intoxicating hurricane of manic nostalgia...The hyperpop trailblazers take sharp left-turns into pop-punk and nu-metal (and dig further down the ska well) on this whiplash-inducing jamboree.' NME

In stock on Ltd Indies White and standard vinyl

At the Grammys last month singer songwriter Bonnie Raitt beat Harry Styles and Taylor Swift to win Song of the Year for her track Just Like That. We have her 2022 album of the same name back in stock on CD.

Levellers' Together All The Way is a stripped back acoustic album, “It was truly a fun record to make, under the rigorous guidance of Sean Lakeman (yes, brother of Seth!). Sean’s a musician himself, always bringing ideas and get out of jail free suggestions when we got stuck. It’s a stripped back, raw iteration of the collective with deep folk leanings. As energetic as the first one but definitely different”

The CD version has just been released.

'Originally released in 1982, A Flock OF Seagulls’ eponymous debut reached the top 10 in the US charts, with the smash hit single, ‘I Ran’, climbing to number 9 in the US Billboard Hot 100. The album – with its pioneering New Wave production techniques - received rave reviews at the time, with producer Phil Spector hailing it as ‘phenomenal’.

This 40th Anniversary special CD reissue includes the original album remastered, as well as b-sides, singles, BBC Sessions and a BBC concert held at the Paris Theatre, London, which was originally transmitted in January 1982, all exclusive to the 3 CD format, as well as liner notes compiled by journalist John Earls comprising of an interview with lead singer and founding band member Mike Score.'
