Sad news came on Wednesday that Cardiacs frontman Tim Smith had passed away. His punk-prog band formed in the late '70s influenced many indie bands and without him 90s music would have sounded very different.
Teen Idle - Insomniac Dreams - Exciting New Discovery.
Very fond of this release, one of our favourite releases of the year so far from New Jersey Dreampop band Teen Idle, their beautifully mature debut mini album Insomniac Dreams has knocked us out with it's melancholic indie rock which evokes class 90s American bands like Madder Rose and Mazzy Star. We first heard this from fantastic Internet Radio Show Eleven Pop Songs. Recommended. Our copy comes with an exclusive art print from excellent Chicago label Sunday Records.
Next week we'll be announcing more news about the RSD Drops, the first coming on Saturday 29 August. Have a good week all X
