Californian DJ & producer Flying Lotus has provided the soundtrack to the new six part Netflix anime series Yasuke as well as consulting on the story.

"You haven't really heard an anime score do a "Blade Runner" thing, he says, "I was like, ‘let me try and get into the headspace of that' but also there were several things that were part of the recipe for me. I thought about when Dilla would sample [Isao] Tomita and people like Vangelis, and how he had a [signature] sound when he did that sort of thing."

Out 24th September, CD and Red LP available to pre-order now.

We are working hard behind the scenes selecting and ordering the Record Store Day releases for the RSD Drops 12th June and 17th July.

Our selection of stock will start to appear on the website in the next week for browsing. We will also be finalising the details of how the first Drop in June will operate. We will announce all in time for next Thursday 13 May's blog. Thanks for all your interest and patience.

We are really looking forward to Monday 17th May which will see the re-opening of our local independent cinemas Louth Playhouse and the Kinema In The Woods and our nearest cafe neighbour The Little Rose Tearoom, as well as many other excellent local venues.
