We are big fans of Dorset singer songwriter Fenne Lily - Big Picture 

'A gorgeous and gripping portrait of Fenne’s last two years, Big Picture was pieced together in an effort to self-soothe. Tracked live in co-producer Brad Cook’s North Carolina studio, the album delineates the phases of love and becomes a map of comfort vs claustrophobia. Though its creation took place amid personal and global turmoil, the ruminative yet candid Big Picture is Fenne’s most cohesive, resolute work to date, both lyrically and sonically. “This isn’t a sad album — it’s about as uplifting as my way of doing things will allow,” she says. “These songs explore worry and doubt and letting go, but those themes are framed brightly.” '

Baltimore duo Beach House have released Depression Cherry 

Depression Cherry was produced and recorded by the band and Chris Coady at Studio in the Country in Bogalusa, Louisiana. This record shows a return to simplicity, with songs structured around a melody and a few instruments, with live drums playing a far lesser role. With the growing success of Teen Dream and Bloom, the larger stages and bigger rooms naturally drove them towards a louder, more aggressive place; a place farther from their natural tendencies.

El Michel's Affair & Black Thought - Glorious Game

An album of Black Thought rhyming over El Michels Affair tracks...The result is an organic feel of loop-based tracks that breathe and fluctuate enough for Black Thought to ‑ex on. "What I write about is determined by the equation of the producer's energy and my energy," Black Thought says. "It's about where we meet."

'Rodrigo y Gabriela’s eagerly awaited follow-up to 2019’s Grammy® Award-winning Mettavolution and first full-length collection in four years, In Between Thoughts...A New World arrives as one of the duo’s most revelatory offerings yet – a spontaneously composed unified work primed to bring about the same expansion of consciousness that inspired its creation. Self-produced by Rodrigo y Gabriela at their studio in Ixtapa, Mexico, the album – which sees the guitar duo expanding their traditional approach to include inventive electronic and orchestral elements – is heralded by first single “Descending To Nowhere”.

By enlisting new recruits to his Orchestra, Jason Swinscoe sloughed the derivative mannerisms that marred 1999's Motion and 2000's Remixes 1998-2000— where those two albums sounded stiff and crippled by the weight of overt influence, Every Day is both stately and loose. And by ditching his Miles Davis/Gil Evans stance and embracing freer jazz elements, Swinscoe has finally achieved a much-needed spaciousness and grandeur in his music.'

With its resplendent collage of psychedelia, krautrock and time-bending dream-pop, Exotico brings that world to life in crystalline detail, all while exploring an entire spectrum of existential themes: impermanence, mortality, our connection with nature and the wild immensity of the mind.'

AMY FITZ DOYLEY releases ‘EYE OF THE NEEDLE’ on pink vinyl.

In 2021, Amy Fitz Doyley took home the Record Store Day Unsigned accolade, which gives one talented DIY UK artist the opportunity to have their music pressed onto 500 vinyl records and stocked on the shelves of record stores around the UK.

The competition, coordinated in partnership with Sound Performance, was judged by a panel of industry experts including Alex Rice (Sports Team), Jessie Atkinson (Gigwise), Chris Marksberry (Sounds Performance), Steve Courtnell (Pie & Vinyl) and Sister Cookie (previous RSD Unsigned Winner) who all deemed Amy Fitz Doyley to be of exceptional talent and deserving of this special prize.

 Upon winning the competition, Amy said “"It’s one of the BEST feelings in the world to be the winner of this prize! Public Image Limited - First Issue

'Groundbreaking doesn't even start to describe PiL's album from 1978. Surrounded by polemic on its release, this is arguably where post-punk started. Released in December 1978 after the Sex Pistols' break-up, First Issue is considered by many to be the first post-punk album. After the punk hangover, John Lydon set out to create a new sound that would stand apart from what other contemporary bands were doing, fully aware that it wouldn't be understood by many of his old followers. For this he counted on the help of ex-Clash guitarist Keith Levene, first-time bassist Jah Wobble and Canadian drummer Jim Walker.'

Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazlewood - Nancy & Lee Again
