PJ Harvey's album Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea was released in October 2000 and this week gets a reissue. Also available for the first time is a demos version of this excellent album.

Alice Cooper releases Detroit Stories this week. The album features legendary Detroit musicians (Wayne Kramer, Johnny “Bee” Badanjek, Paul Randolph and many more).  We have limited edition red double vinyl and the CD+DVD version in stock.

Aretha Franklin's wonderful 1972 album, Young Gifted & Black is reissued on yellow vinyl this week. 

There's a black vinyl reissue of Carole King's classic 1971 album Tapestry to celebrate it's 50th Anniversary.

Way Down In The Rust Bucket is the culmination of recordings from a 3 set live show performed in Santa Cruz, CA in November 1990 by Neil Young & Crazy Horse. Over 2 hours of music is available as a 4LP box set or double CD.

White Stripes Greatest Hits is the first-ever official anthology of recordings from the iconic rock duo, Jack and Meg White. An essential career-spanning collection highlighting 26 previously released songs. It is available from Fri 26th on double vinyl or CD. Kings Of Leon are back with a limited 7" single release of The Bandit this week, ahead of their new album When You See Yourself which is released next Friday 5th March. Pre-Order limited cream vinyl or CD now. We have free sets of postcards to give away with each vinyl release.

Mogwai's new album As The Love Continues went straight to number one in the album charts and has flown off the shelves here. We're chasing more stock on vinyl and hope to have more very soon. We do have the album in stock on CD.

Great news! Shop faves Dinosaur Jr are releasing a new album Sweep It Into Space on 23rd April. There are two purple vinyl versions (both with bonus live CD) though grab them as soon as possible if you want them as as copies are extremely limited unfortunately. We also have black vinyl and CD versions all available to pre order now. The artwork looks fantastic!

Australian indie rock heroes DMA's release Live At Brixton next Friday 5th March. This live show, their first in the UK, was recorded 6th March 2020 at the O2 Academy Brixton. Pre-order limited smoke effect double vinyl now. Free A4 black and white print with ech purchase.

Australian punk rock band Skegss are releasing their new LP Rehearsal on 26th March. It's available to pre-order now and comes with a bonus sticker pack while stocks last.

There's a prize draw in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust coming up. It has been organised by Tom Fern, whose son has the condition. You might have come across Tom on Twitter where he flags up indie vinyl bargains at independent record shops on his account @CheapIndieVinyl. There are some really fantastic prizes in the form of records and record shop vouchers so do check it out.

I've been creating my own music this month, contributing to the Song-A-Day challenge where musicians write, record and share a tune on each day in February... stressful at times (when the day is running out!) but on the whole it's been a very enjoyable rewarding experience.. it's got me writing again and improved my ability to record demos of new ideas quick! There's a lot of great stuff on there from all styles of songwriting to experimental electronica - many produced to an incredible standard given the insane time constraints!
