Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds 'are back after a five-year break with their new album Wild God Described by Nick as 'joyful'.
Across ten tracks, the band dances between convention and experimentation, taking left turns and detours that enhance the rich imagery and emotion in Cave's heartfelt narratives.'
'Packed with remarkable songs, its mood of what you might call radical optimism is potent and contagious. You leave it feeling better than you did previously: an improving experience, in the best sense of the phrase.' Alexis Petridis
We have the clear vinyl, standard vinyl and CD versions of Wild God in store now. BROWSE THE NEW NICK CAVE HERE
Dublin band Fontaines D.C. have released their highly-anticipated fourth album, Romance.
'Romance is Fontaines D.C.s most ambitious, expansive record yet, its 11 tracks constellating ideas that have been percolating among Grian Chatten (vocals), Carlos O’Connell (guitar), Conor Curley (guitar), Conor Deegan (bass), and Tom Coll (drums) since they released Skinty Fia in 2022. These ideas crystalised while touring the U.S. and Mexico with Arctic Monkeys as the five band members shared music and found a throughline with artists that deftly build out their own sprawling creative worlds'

Sabrina Carpenter's Short n’ Sweet showcases her scintillating spirit, the pocket-sized popstar with a larger than life artistic presence.
With a gold album & multiple platinum singles under her belt, it’s no wonder that ‘Espresso’, the debut single from the forthcoming album, has it all: lyrics that make you giggle & blush and songwriting that makes you wish you’d thought of it first.

'On The Intricate Inner Workings Of The System is the third album by the wonderful Welsh trio The Bug Club and their first on the Sub Pop label. It 'is filled with thrillingly witty and energetic catchy punk.'
Red/orange vinyl and CD out Friday 30th August
'The brand-new solo album from The Dream Syndicate’s Steve Wynn, released in tandem with his memoir. Make It Right is a commentary between literal and metaphorical ruminating – a dialogue between memoirist and musician - a vulnerable, more reflective Wynn than previously heard. Make It Right features notable contributions from Mike Mills (R.E.M.), Vicki Peterson (The Bangles), Chris Schlarb (Psychic Temple), Emil Nikolaisen (Serena Maneesh), Linda Pitmon (The Baseball project) and a cast of dozens.'
Love Rudiments is 'a meditation from Ty Segall on love, played on his first love: the drums. Delving deep into the melodic and orchestral possibilities of a full array of percussion instruments, from the trap kit to timpani, vibraphone, xylophone, percussion and e-drums, Ty charts the waxing and waning of a love affair, to explore some of the most delicate space we know of – the private emotional location where only two can meet.'
'After critically acclaimed reissues of their mid-90s material, Seefeel return with their first new music since 2011. Everything Squared is a one-off 6-track mini-album which presents a contemporary evolution of their trademark sound. Mainly composed and performed by the core duo of Mark Clifford and Sarah Peacock, with bass on two tracks from Shigeru Ishihara. Mastered by Berlin-based engineer Stefan Betke aka Pole at Scape Mastering, and designed by Ian Anderson at The Designers Republic.'
LP and CD out Friday 30th August
Tony Allen, Yannis and the Yaw - Lagos Paris London
'In 2016, Foals frontman Yannis Philippakis was offered the opportunity of a lifetime: a two-day session working with the great drummer Tony Allen, who he admired intensely for his influential, multi-genre work with the likes of Fela Kuti, Sébastien Tellier and Jeff Mills.
Heading into a smoke-filled, ‘70s throwback studio in Paris, Yannis had expected them to make a nostalgic Afrobeat record. Yet something very different emerged.'

The campaign to save Louth's Legion Hall for community use is well underway.
There is 'a strong vision for what this building could be and that involves a bakery/cafe, several multifunctional spaces for hire, a business hub with co-working spaces, and meeting rooms as well as a cultural hub bringing local gigs, art and theatre back to the hall.'
The building is being put up for sale very soon.
There is a crowdfunding page to make pledges for the hall purchase and refurb https://www.gofundme.com/f/8c5yvd-save-louth-legion-hall?attribution_id=sl:1b17282f-d5cf-4957-aeb7-f403faff6b23&utm_campaign=fp_sharesheet_ai&utm_content=amp9v2&utm_medium=customer&utm_source=copy_link
The group are also speaking to local businesses who may be interesting in sponsoring one of the rooms in the Hall.
