Out this Friday is Dark In Here, a new album from Californian Indie Folk band The Mountain Goats recorded in March 2020. Founding band member John Darnielle writes in the liner notes that “if you’re looking for a governing theme here, it’s calamity, as all the songs are either anticipating one or reflecting one that’s already happened.”

It's certainly a tough time for small independent businesses and we're really gutted that our near neighbours on Aswell Street The Little Rose Tearoom has sadly closed this week. A big thank you to Debbie, Matt & all the team for keeping me going with cuppas and sandwiches over the last 6 years. We'll miss you - good luck for the future.

In today's BBC news is an interesting article How Vinyl Records Are Trying To Go Green about making the record industry more sustainable, with Nick Mulvey and Ninja Tune both getting a mention for the developments they're making to their vinyl production.
