We have a bumper crop of new arrivals in store this week...

At 80 years young Neil Young & The Chrome Hearts are back with a great new album. NY fans everywhere are excited about this one after the real quality of the first two singles released so far, which both feel at the same time as good as anything he's released across his incredible career, but also very much the man he is right now.

'“Second Song” is the second studio album Neil Young was recorded with the band The Chrome Hearts, and the third album in total following the live album “As Time Explodes” which was released in April. “Second Song” is produced by Lou Adler and the Volume Dealers (Neil Young and Niko Bolas.) Anthony LoGerfo and Manny Adler are associate producers.'

Vinyl and CD available

We love Ezra Collective! Their new album Here Because Of Hope is the most ambitious and personal record of their career - conceived as a body of work split into three spiritual and geographical movements, the album traces the movement of Black people across continents and decades, from the music of Africa to the rhythms of the Caribbean, and home to the streets of London. Formed in the youth clubs of London, Mercury Prize and BRIT Award-winners Femi Koleoso, TJ Koleoso, Joe Armon-Jones, James Mollison and Ife Ogunjobi have now spent over a decade making jazz joyful, urgent and undeniable.'

Double LP and CD in stock now

'Beck returns with Ride Lonesome, his first album of all-new material since the Grammy-winning Hyperspace. Harkening back to the rich, atmospheric sounds of Morning Phase and Sea Change, the album reunites Beck with musicians from those acclaimed releases. Produced by Beck and mixed by Nigel Godrich, Ride Lonesome marks a compelling return to the intimate, cinematic style that defines some of his most celebrated work.'

Ltd green vinyl edition available from Friday 18th September

beabadoobee returns with her 4th studio album 'Pylon’.

'Written on the road whilst supporting the acclaimed and chart topping ‘This Is How Tomorrow Moves’ and crafted with collaborators including Hayley Williams, Turnstile’s Brendan Yates, Chino Moreno of Deftones and Pinegrove’s Evan Stephens Hall, ‘Pylon’ touches on classic grunge, midwest emo and ‘90s radio rock, zeroing in on a sound that is both more intense and more direct than any of her previous records.'

Indie exclusive oyster coloured vinyl available

Slovak singer songwriter 'Adela presents her heavily anticipated debut studio album, Prima. Featuring lead singles “KGB” and “Red Bottoms,” the full-length album finds Adela in her prime, with a range of hard-hitting pop bangers and vulnerable ballads, making her debut album a must-listen introduction to fans and newcomers alike.'

Dragonflies is the debut album from Dhani Harrison (son of the mighty George of course) & Nigel Godrich

'Dhani is a 2-time Grammy Award-winning musician, composer, and producer. First emerging on the global stage with his band thenewno2, Harrison has since established himself as a distinctive solo artist. His 2017 debut solo album, IN///PARALLEL, marked a bold creative evolution, followed by the critically acclaimed INNERSTANDING.

Nigel Godrich is one of the most celebrated producers and recording engineers, best known for his decades-long creative partnership with Radiohead. Beginning his work with the band in 1994, he has produced every Radiohead studio album since OK Computer (1997), helping define one of modern musics most influential catalogs.

Together, Dragonflies brings their decades of songwriting, production, and cinematic composition into a singular new collaborative project.'

Transparent green vinyl

'Following the “immaculate and eternal soul” of The Guardian’s praise for The Indications’ 2019 album American Love Call, Private Space opens things up with synth-led modern soul, disco rhythms and rich strings. It’s a confident step forward that still feels rooted in everything the band do so well.'

Eco mix vinyl in store now

Look out for vinyl reissues from Hole in store this week..

'Apples For Isaac is a monumental return from Echo & The Bunnymen, their first album of newly-written songs in over a decade. After years spent performing their immense catalogue of classics to audiences around the world, the Bunnymen have recorded an album that is as bold as it is vulnerable, that perfectly captures the essence of what makes the Bunnymen so great.'

Reissued this week...

'Released in 1993, World Gone Wrong finds Bob Dylan turning to traditional folk and blues with a direct, unvarnished touch. It is a stripped-back set that lets the weight of these old songs come through clearly, carried by Dylan’s voice and feel for the material.

The album includes World Gone Wrong, Delia, and Blood in My Eyes. It is a compelling listen for anyone drawn to the deeper roots running through American song, and a fascinating chapter in Dylan's catalogue.'

Californian singer songwriter Chelsea Wolfe enters a new era with The Dark, forged in newfound sobriety and deep self-reckoning. Lead single "Cold" is the album's emotional doorway: the ache of being in relationship yet feeling utterly alone, of loving someone and still knowing they are toxic for you. It's about letting go of the person, the path, and the version of yourself that kept returning to the same wound — not dramatic escape, but the quiet terror of finally saying it plainly: "I'm letting you go."

Canadian singer songwriter 'Carly Rae Jepsen returns with a new double album Day and Night. Across 24 songs, the record dreams up a world lavish enough to hold the full expanse of her identity. The lead single “On Wires” surges with urgency, capturing the dizzying pull of desire. “It’s about wanting someone so badly you can barely get through the motions of a night out,” she says. “It’s a real ‘come hither’ song, but the chorus is just me repeating ‘I want you,’ because that’s all I can think about.”

Limited green vinyl

Massachusetts electronic duo Boy Harsher return with Get Mean, a record that sits with love, loss, and survival in a direct, unflinching way. Across the album, duo Jae Matthews and Augustus Muller face grief and heartbreak head-on, following the difficult movement through pain.

Blue vinyl with poster available

'Released in 1980, Nobody’s Heroes is the second album by Stiff Little Fingers, transitioning from the raw punk of their debut toward a more polished sound influenced by reggae and ska. It remains a definitive political statement of the era, featuring anthems like "Tin Soldiers" and "At the Edge" that tackle themes of forced patriotism and individual defiance.'

'The 1998 beguiling The Smashing Pumpkins classic Adore remastered from the original master tapes with original artwork on 180g vinyl. Includes “Ava Adore” and “Perfect.”

Double LP

'Country star Orville Peck's fourth studio album, Mule, is his most intimate and ambitious record yet. Following last year's Appaloosa EP, it plays out as a chronological account of the year that changed his life.'

'One of Britain's most beloved alt-rock acts returns. Twilight is the eighth studio album from Jesus Jones, and their most anticipated release in years, their first new record in eight years. Since forming in 1988, Jesus Jones have sold over two million albums worldwide, scored eight UK Top 40 singles, and delivered one of the defining anthems of a generation. "Right Here, Right Now" topped the US charts in 1991 and remains a global radio staple to this day. '

'Pulitzer and Grammy-winning artist Rhiannon Giddens’ new album Hope is the Thing with Feathers was inspired by the beauty of people coming together and drawing strength from each other. It was intentionally recorded live with no frills and few overdubs, just pure and essential music that captures the feeling of community, clarity, as well as the joy and power of creating together.'

'Violence Insane In A Beautiful World is the brand new studio album from Roger Taylor, legendary Queen songwriter, musician & singer.

Roger wrote (with the exception of an exquisite cover of ‘Jealous Guy,’ which he describes as “one of the greatest, ballads ever written”), produced, sang and performed all the songs on the album himself.

Violence Insane In A Beautiful World  is Roger Taylor’s seventh album in a solo career stretching back to 1977 and is his first since 2021’s critically and fan-acclaimed top 3 album Outsider.'

'Earth Blue' vinyl

Thrash Metal legends 'Anthrax return with Cursum Perficio, their first studio album in 10 years. Blazing a path across the band’s full sonic spectrum, the record unleashes classic thrash fury alongside powerful, melodic, song-driven moments. Ferocious riffs, sharp hooks, and unmistakable attitude prove once again why Anthrax remain one of metal’s most dynamic and enduring forces.'
