Love Record Stores

 A day of special releases organised by the Love Record Stores folk is scheduled for Saturday 4th September. However a number of the key releases (including Sonic Youth and Mogwai) which we'd picked have been delayed and will be released later in the year. Check social media for updates or contact the shop for more info.

A couple of Love Record Stores releases we have ready for Saturday are from Malian singer-songwriter Fatoumata Diawara's classic debut Fatou on Yellow Vinyl (limited to 1500 copies) and Life Flows In Endless Song/The Body is A Tide an EP by indie pop/shoegaze band Modern Studies. Black 12" EP.

Coming Up...

World Music Day is a free live music event this Saturday 4th September at Spout Yard Park, Louth 2pm until 5pm. 

Enjoy a range of different artists who have performed at the Guild Sessions, Lincoln over the past couple of years. Included in the line up is:
2 pm - The Rye Sisters - Country Pop duo
3 pm - Simcha - Klezmer group
4 pm - Jelly Legs - Folk and Americana
Also this weekend is the Navigation Recreation Heritage Music & Water Festival run by the Louth Navigation Trust. 12 noon to 6pm on both Sat 4th and Sun 5th. Free Live Music, Art & Craft, poetry, heritage talks,  workshops and watercraft.

 

Not only is Kayleigh Pickworth our excellent shop assistant she also makes fantastic music. Her new single Something in the Water will be released at 8am on September 6th on YouTube and Soundcloud. 

 

 

Louth Livestock is a 2 day live music event taking place at the cattle market in Louth 11th & 12th September. The event will be headlined by Artful Dodger and Ben Simmons and the line up features many of our fave Louth musicians including Laser Pig, Kieran Campbell, Jazz Lingard, Belle Woodland and Mothership DJs. ...and I'm playing too (!) under a new project Slow Rollers Society
