This week in store...
For those of you who love crate digging and second hand vinyl we will be making space for more quality used LPs and 7" singles again now that RSD is over for another year...
As for new releases we have the new album All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade by The Libertines in store plus various editions of Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department
'Album number seven and St Vincent continues to thrill, educate and be innovative. Her first fully self-produced album (having co-produced every one of her previous efforts), All Born Screaming is St. Vincent at her most primal.'
Limited vinyl, standard vinyl and CD available
'Kamasi Washington releases his new album, Fearless Movement, via Young. Washington calls Fearless Movement his dance album. “It’s not literal,” Washington says. “Dance is movement and expression, and in a way it’s the same thing as music—expressing your spirit through your body. That’s what this album is pushing.”
'Funeral For Justice is the new album by Mdou Moctar. Recorded at the close of two years spent touring the globe following the release of 2019 breakout Afrique Victime, it captures the Nigerien quartet in ferocious form. '
'Mammoth Penguins are a 3-piece indie powerhouse from Cambridge, showcasing the songwriting and vocal talents of Emma Kupa (Standard Fare) backed up by the noisiest rhythm section in indie pop.'

Their fourth album Here is out on 3rd May on Fika Recordings.

'Following the kaleidoscopic adventure of Villagers’ fifth album Fever Dreams, award-winning Dublin singer-songwriter-instrumentalist-dramatist Conor O’Brien returns with the intimate inventory, That Golden Time.'

'Following their critically-acclaimed UK Top 20 album As Days Get Dark, Arab Strap return with their 2nd long player for Mogwai’s Rock Action Records with the excellent titled I’m totally fine with it 👍don’t give a fuck anymore 👍..

'London Fresh from supporting Blur at Wembley, Sleaford Mods return with a EP of six new tracks.'

Rod Stewart and Jools Holland's release Swing Fever is in stock and selling well on CD

Also new in from Ibibio Sound Machine, Mick Harvey, The Church, Laibach, Acid Mothers Temple and a return from Camera Obscura

RSD 2024!
Record Store Day was an amazing boost for the shop, the best ever this year...
It was great to see so many of you on the day and a big thank you and respect to all those of you who patiently queued up in our biggest queue ever right around the corner past Greggs! (Thanks to our neighbouring businesses and residents for their understanding).
And when 8pm on Monday 22nd April struck we were inundated with online orders from across the globe so we are very grateful to all those of you who found out about our little shop.
And as we still have some great RSD titles in store HERE the orders are still coming!
It was brilliant to have Expressive Audio joining us again this year.
Congratulations to the winner of a Rega Research turntable.
See info on the winner HERE
Last but not least we are very grateful to Experimental Sonic Machines for an epic all day performance with Ernie the Robot Drummer. And it was fantastic to welcome The Athertones to play at the shop in the afternoon for some very accomplished covers and to hear their great original music too.
