'Shadow Kingdom presents Bob Dylan performing revelatory 21st century versions of songs from his storied back catalog – including fan favourites like "Forever Young" and "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue," and deep catalog gems like "Queen Jane Approximately" and "The Wicked Messenger." Originally reinterpreted for an exclusive streaming film event, which aired in July 2021, Shadow Kingdom is now available on vinyl and CD for the first time. The album's setlist includes 13 original songs handpicked by Dylan for his Shadow Kingdom performance plus the closing instrumental, "Sierra's Theme."

Black Sabbath release Live Evil 40th anniversary edition.

'Geezer, Tony, Ronnie James Dio, and Vinny as Black Sabbath created some perennially popular rock / metal music in the years between 1980 and 2009, and performed many memorably exciting live shows, leaving fans with happy memories of a band that never delivered less than 100% on stage or on record.

Foo Fighters release their new album But Here We Are this Friday.

The album 'marks the band's return after a year of staggering losses, personal introspection and bittersweet remembrances. 'Roger Waters' The Lockdown Sessions was recorded at home during the Covid lockdown between 2020 and 2021. Also included is “Comfortably Numb 2022” which was recorded during Waters’ This Is Not A Drill North American tour. The collection includes five seminal tracks from across Roger Waters’ time with Pink Floyd and his solo career; “Mother” and “Vera” from Pink Floyd The Wall; “Two Suns In The Sunset” and “The Gunner’s Dream” from Waters’ final Pink Floyd album, The Final Cut; and “The Bravery of Being Out Of Range” from his highly acclaimed solo album, Amused To Death. Waters’ new version of the classic Pink Floyd song “Comfortably Numb” features as the final track.'

Detroit post-punk Detroit band Protomartyr release 6th album Formal Growth In The Desert. 

 'Since their 2012 debut, Protomartyr have mastered the art of evoking place: the grinding Midwest humility of their hometown, as well as the x-rayed elucidation of America that comes with their vantage.'

Out this week is a 2023 vinyl reissue of John Frusciante's The Will To Death. 'The Will To Death was first released on June 22, 2004. Frusciante had previously announced that in 2004 he would produce six albums during a six month break from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Will to Death being the first of these. Following the long and costly recording of his previous album, Shadows Collide With People, Frusciante decided to experiment with recording music quickly and in a minimalist fashion, doing a maximum of two takes per track.'

2022 marked the 10th anniversary of  psychedelic rock project Tame Impala's  Lonerism. To celebrate, Tame Impala present fans with a deluxe 3LP reissue of the album that features previously unreleased demos from the era. Recorded in both Western Australia and Paris between 2010 and 2012, Lonerism was Tame Impala’s breakout record. It received critical acclaim from the likes of Pitchfork and NME and is regarded as one of the best albums of 2012. This expanded deluxe edition of the album features the singles ‘Feels Like We Only Go Backwards’ and ‘Elephant’ amongst the original album track list.

Animal Collective - Spirit They've Gone Spirit,They've Vanished

'Chiming laments for a childhood's end, the debut album from NY avant garde band Animal Collective, Spirit They're Gone, Spirit They've Vanished opens with the phrase "want to hear a secret, I know one," suggesting these secrets just might be buried deep within the flocks of high frequencies, electronic glitches, bleeps and swells that follow. Originally released in 2000 and credited to Avey Tare and Panda Bear prior to the full, collective band name being used on releases, this reissue features remastered audio and new artwork by Abby and Dave Portner.'

The Bronx-based band - that later went on to form heavyweight disco outfit GQ - originally released this treasure in 1976 and it's long been a hard to find record. It's also rare to find a record this hard. Captivating funk at its rawest, no doubt.'

'Now available on LP after being released digitally last year on Invada Records. The Midwich Cuckoos is based on the 1957 science fiction novel by John Wyndham, and tells the story of an English village where the women become mysteriously pregnant.

Hannah Peel‘s score is described as a unique and intricately produced soundscape, working in harmony with the sound design of Sky’s adaptation.'
