Calling this The Definitive Collection is perhaps a little optimistic, given that it stops well before Michael Jackson's imperial years at Epic. Still, as a snapshot of his Motown recordings, it more than earns its keep. The Jackson 5 cuts remain the obvious draw, with 'I Want You Back', 'ABC', 'Never Can Say Goodbye' and 'Dancing Machine' sounding every bit as irresistible as ever. Solo favourites such as 'Got To Be There', 'Rockin' Robin' and 'Ben' trace the first stirrings of one of pop's greatest talents.
